This course provides basic first aid awareness training and accident prevention to adults over the age of 50. Areas of focus include providing care for partners and dealing with incidents involving younger members of the family. There is also a small section on pet first aid.
After this course, the learner will have a greater understanding of the possible injuries and illnesses that could affect all age groups. The learner will understand why immediate professional care is vital to ensure that pain and suffering are reduced as much as possible and will have more confidence to deal with an emergency situation, should it arise. This course includes the latest CPR and Coronavirus recommendations.
All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2021 as per the HSE requirements. This course comes with 5.0 hours of CPD, although the time to complete the course online may be less than this. Total course time includes 3 hours and 1 minute of video training as well as knowledge reviews, final test, remedial help and reviewing downloaded material.
The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a National Medicaid Certificate and for online courses an Evidence Based Learning statement.
